ABSTRACT

1. Asthma and lung cancer are common chronic respiratory diseases
2. The association between asthma and lung cancer was suggsted in mendelian randomization analysis
3. However, asthma is a heterogenous disease with different phenotypes and severity
4. Hence, it is important to evaluate the association by detailed analyses focusing on severity and phenotypes
5. Using large dataset such as NHANES database can provide lareg sample size with multiple subgroups to facilitate the study

Research Questions: To examine the association of asthma and lung cancer using NHANES database, focusing on severity and phenotypes of asthma
