Evaluation of Public Health Programmes in Hong Kong

Project Summary:
Public health programs aim to promote and protect the health and well-being of the population. Hong Kong has a well-established public health system that has been continuously improving over the years. However, there is a need to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of these programs to ensure that they are achieving their objectives. Specific programmes include the Breast Cancer Screening Pilot Programme, and Hong Kong Genome Project.
The main objective of this project is to evaluate the effectiveness of public health programs in Hong Kong. Specifically, the project aims to:
(1) Assess the clinical and cost-effectiveness of the public health programs on the health outcomes;
(2) Identify the strengths and weaknesses and determine the level of participant satisfaction;
(3) Recommend strategies to improve effectiveness and formulate evidence-based policy.
