Use AI to turn smartphones into a personal health monitor

Abstract:

The overall goal is to harness the data generated by inbuilt sensors in modern smartphones , including microphone and camera, to collect medically relevant health data – a process called digital phenotyping. In this interdisciplinary research programme, we not only develop mobile apps and the AI algorithms, we also carry out clinical validation studies in collaboration with clinicians to validate the AI system. We welcome students from diverse academic background to join.

Skills and experience required for the project:

Preferred candidates should have knowledge in biomedical sciences and computer coding experience, ideally AI.
