Game-based rehabilitation for swallowing disorders

Abstract:

Swallowing difficulties are common in older adults and may lead to significant negative impacts on the physical health and quality of life. Swallowing exercises can help to maintain or improve swallowing functions. However, these exercises are often highly repetitive and the older adults lack motivation and supervision to conduct these exercises. The project aims to develop and validate game-based swallowing exercises to improve swallowing functions in older adults.
