Abstract:

Recent development of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) has the potential to accelerate many processes in the scientific process, such as hypothesis generation, automation of experiments, analysis, generation of source code for scientific software, and even writing the scientific papers. Nonetheless, the use of GenAI in research, especially biomedical and health research, poses new ethical challenges, such as trust, reliability, and responsibility. In this project, we will conduct literature review to explore the current ethical considerations related to different aspects of GenAI use in biomedical and health research.
